Sarah has been involved in cross country running since 5th grade. Now if she isn’t running at a 5K, you may see her providing sports massage and stretching for the event! She competed in national level Judo for over 10 years, culminating in achieving her brown belt. She is unable to practice anymore due to an unrelated injury. When this occurred Sarah was devastated. She was informed she may never be able to run again, however after going through physical therapy, and being able to run again on her last day was an amazing feeling. From then on she knew she wanted to do something in the field of Healthcare.
In 2018 she attended the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Groton, CT. She excelled in her program with high honors and finished in just under a year with the accelerated program. She graduated the program September 2019 at Cortiva Institute of Cromwell, CT. She passed her MBLEX National Massage Therapy licensure exam October 2019 and joined us very shortly after that!
Sarah knew upon graduating from massage school that she preferred to be in a medical environment. Sarah has completed several advanced Myoskeletal manipulation continuing education classes, and is working towards becoming a Master Myoskeletal Therapist! She implements tools such as Graston, cupping, kinesiology taping, and Theragun when applicable in session. She’s also trained and certified in prenatal massage therapy.
